In this post I will explain how you can install WebReader app on your BlackBerry PlayBook if you have the app’s bar file.

Install WebReader.bar file on your PlayBook
You can install a bar file on you BlackBerry PlayBook in 2 ways:
I. Command line on Windows
Open command line for Windows (Start -> Run -> cmd.exe)
You have to write 2 commands in command line
One to navigate in the install folder
And second to install the app on the playbook.
The navigate part
Navigate to C:\Program Files\Research In Motion\blackberry-tablet-sdk-1.1.1\bin in command line
cd – is used in command line to navigate in the current directory
cd.. – exits the current folder
The simplest way, type: cd C:\Program Files\Research In Motion\blackberry-tablet-sdk-1.1.1\bin
The install comand
When you’re in the install folder
C:\Program Files (x86)\Research In Motion\blackberry-tablet-sdk-1.1.0\bin, type
blackberry-deploy -installApp -device DEVICE_IP -password DEVICE_PASSWORD C:\Users\Jo\Desktop\WebReader.bar
DEVICE_IP – your PlayBook IP
DEVICE_PASSWORD – your PlayBook password
Note: On 64 bit system the path to Program Files can be C:\Program Files (x86)\
II. BlackBerry Tablet OS Graphical Aid 2.0
Download BlackBerry Tablet OS Graphical Aid 2.0 for Windows.
Run configuration wizard and point to the Adobe Air SDK folder.
After that, click on the Install tab, choose the WebReader app’s bar file to install on your PlayBook and hit the Install button.
And you successful installed WebReader’s bar file on your BlackBerry PlayBook.
